About the Artist
Maui based jewelry designer Tosca Moretti first began creating jewelry at the age of 14, when her family encouraged her to take a metalsmith class. Before she knew it, making jewelry had become a passion of hers that occupied much of her time. In 2013, Tosca welcomed a baby girl, which allowed her to work from home. That was when she decided to pursue jewelry design professionally, and Ilihia Maui was created. The name "Ilihia" was inspired by her daughters middle name, with the meaning "to be stricken with awe and thrilled by beauty".
Tosca's vision is to create simple jewelry that is versatile, eye-catching, and appeals to a variety of women.
She is inspired by travel, and one day hopes to incorporate her Italian heritage into her designs. Her jewelry line specializes in Tahitian pearls, primarily using gold-fill or sterling silver materials. Shells, sea glass, coral, and semi-precious stones are also a staple in her designs.
All of Tosca's jewelry is handcrafted on Maui where she was born and raised.
All materials are sourced from reputable vendors that frequent the Hawaiian islands.
Mahalo for not only supporting my small business, but for supporting my dream.
